Step 4: Course competencies

In this step you identify the overall program level competencies that are addressed by this course. Normally a course will address between 3 and 8 overall program level competencies. In the next step (Instructional units), the competencies and the level to which they are instructed and assessed will be defined.

To add a competency

1. Click the next to the competency domain to display its list of competencies
2. Click the next to the competency you want to define for the course

Note: if a competency does not appear competency list, it must be added by the Project Lead.

To remove a competency

1. To remove an competency that was previously defined, select the next to the competency you want to delete.

Completing this step

When at least one competency has been defined, the will appear and you will be able to advance to the next step.

This step is completed once the is used to advance to the next step in the program. The course's status on the main page will now be set to step 4.
